On behalf of the Organizing Committee it is our pleasure to invite you to the 21st International Congress on Education of the Deaf (ICED) to be held in Vancouver, British Columbia on July 18th to 22nd, 2010. This is the first time Canada has hosted the International Congress and we feel particularly privileged to show off our beautiful city of Vancouver and Canada’s West Coast. Through the theme “Partners In Education”, we look to celebrate past achievements in education of the Deaf while also focusing on the latest research and established best practices to help us map out an exciting future.
Vancouver, a city of 3 million, has a dramatic backdrop of the Coastal Mountain Range with the Pacific Ocean at its feet. In February 2010, Vancouver will also be hosting the Winter Olympics, so the city will truly be looking it best when you arrive in July!
We hope that you will mark this event on your calendar and join us in Vancouver to take an active part in this significant gathering of experts and knowledgeable educators of the Deaf and hard of hearing. May we all learn from each other!
